| Tip 346 | Use the “Linen” Background on the Desktop |
Apple seems to love the “linen” background. It’s used as the backdrop for the Notification Center, for example, and on Apple’s iCloud website.[29] If you share Apple’s love, you can have a linen desktop background by following these steps:
Open System Preferences (main menu→System Preferences), click the Desktop & Screen Saver icon, and select the Desktop tab.
Leaving System Preferences open, open a Finder window, hit Shift+Command+G, and type the following into the dialog box that appears, before clicking the Go button:
