Since the mouse is the primary way to control your Macintosh, you need to know the two most important uses for the mouse:

  • Point Move the pointer by moving the mouse.

  • Double-click Press the left mouse button twice in rapid succession.

  • Drag Point at something on the screen, hold down the left mouse button, move the mouse, and release the left mouse button.

  • Click and hold Point at something on the screen and hold down the left mouse button.

  • Right-click Press the right mouse button once and let go.
