Since the mouse is the primary way to control your Macintosh, you need to know the two most important uses for the mouse:
Point Move the pointer by moving the mouse.
Click Press the left mouse button once and let go.
You can control your entire Macintosh just by pointing and clicking the mouse. To make your Macintosh easier to use, learn the following additional ways to use the mouse:
Double-click Press the left mouse button twice in rapid succession.
Drag Point at something on the screen, hold down the left mouse button, move the mouse, and release the left mouse button.
Click and hold Point at something on the screen and hold down the left mouse button.
Right-click Press the right mouse button once and let go.
