Automatically Creating a Birthdays Calendar

Once you've stored birthdays in your Address Book, you can create a Birthdays calendar in iCal. Here's how to do so:

  1. Start the iCal program. (If the iCal icon isn't on the Dock, double-click the iCal icon in the Applications folder.)

  2. Select iCalPreferences. A Preferences window appears.

  3. Click the General icon. The General window appears.

  4. Select the Show Birthdays calendar checkbox, as shown in Figure 21-4.
