Dragging and Dropping Website Addresses in Safari

Safari lets you browse the Internet and visit websites. If you find an interesting website, you can save that website's address by dragging it out of the Address text box and dropping it over the Bookmarks Bar, as shown in Figure 11-2.

To drag a website address and store it on your Bookmarks Bar, do this:

  1. Start Safari.

  2. Visit a website, such as http://www.nostarch.com/. Notice that an icon or a blue dot appears to the left of the website's address in the Address text box.

    When dragging text, your selected text's "ghost image" moves with the mouse pointer.
