Additional Ideas for Creating Accounts in Mail

Many people may need only a single email account, but Mail lets you retrieve email from multiple accounts if you want. For example, you might have a work email address and a personal email address. By configuring both accounts to work with Mail, you can read all your email from within a single program.

If you use another email program, you can transfer your saved messages into Mail by selecting File ▸ Import Mailboxes. Doing this makes it easy to switch from another email program to Mail.
