Using pull-down menus from the menu bar is the most straightforward way to control your Macintosh, but it's not the only way. Since the two-step process of clicking a pull-down menu and then clicking a command can be cumbersome, your Macintosh offers three different types of shortcuts to help you choose commands faster:
