Everyone has a favorite website. To see the latest changes to a website, you could visit it periodically, but it's much easier to use RSS feeds instead. (RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication.)

RSS feeds can let you know when your friend writes a new post on her blog, or when your favorite newspaper releases a new story. If RSS sounds complicated, just think of it as something like subscribing to a website, just as you might subscribe to a magazine. Instead of manually checking many different news sites, you'll have the news delivered straight to you. RSS feeds let you know exactly when your favorite website has new material for you.
