One problem with logging out of one account and logging in to a second account is that each time you log out of an account, you have to shut down any running programs. When you log back in to that account, you have to start up your programs again.
For a faster and more convenient way to switch between accounts, you can use Fast User Switching, which lets you switch accounts without shutting down any programs. That way, when you return to an account, all your programs are still running, ready for you to start using them again.
