The best way to accommodate multiple people who want to use a Macintosh is to buy everyone a separate Macintosh so they'll leave your computer alone. Unfortunately, it's not always practical to buy a separate computer for everyone, so you can do the next best thing and split your Macintosh into "multiple personalities" by creating user accounts instead.
