By now you should have a pretty good grasp on how to get around in the Excel object library, find the object you need for a task, and do some simple things like switch focus to an object, get its value or name, and so on. You should also understand how to respond to events that occur in Excel so that your code runs automatically in response to user actions.
The Excel object library is extremely large and complex, however, so don’t worry if you’re a little confused about which object to use for a specific task—that’s really what the later chapters are about.
