It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Letting Go of Editing to Make the Leap to Publishing
The editing process can take months or years. If you’ve been working on your e-book for a long time, you might find it difficult to let go and complete the project. After all, there’s always another chapter that you can add or a couple of paragraphs that might work better in a different order or a few words that can be tweaked.
If you want your e-book to ever end up on the virtual shelves of a bookstore, you need to eventually stop editing. Your manuscript may still have imperfections — but every book does. If you’ve edited the big picture, honed the sentences, and proofread carefully, your e-book is ready to be sent out into the world.
