I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
NFS for UNIX-Style File Sharing
If your network consists largely or entirely of UNIX-like OSs, chances are you'll want to use NFS for file sharing. NFS was designed for UNIX systems and therefore includes support for UNIX filesystem features, such as ownership and UNIX-style permissions. This fact makes NFS more suitable for UNIX-to-UNIX file sharing than SMB/CIFS. NFS client software is available for BeOS, as well, but currently no BeOS NFS server is available. You can also use NFS in a mixed environment of UNIX and non-UNIX systems, or even between two or more non-UNIX hosts.
