Analytics considerations

Most analytics have traditionally been performed in a data warehouse or data mart where data has been consolidated from multiple applications and sources; however, there is a growing trend toward embedding analytics in applications themselves. The primary question in architecture analytics boils down to where the analysis needs to be performed: do they need to be performed at the edge, in a data warehouse, or in a data lake, or somewhere in between? IIoT imposes unique constraints that may impact the architectural requirements for analytics.
