It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Architectural Approaches for Success
The previous chapter discussed the historical foundations and evolution of IIoT from the Industrial Revolution. We looked at the challenges as well as the reasons driving companies to invest in IIoT solutions. We looked at the various roles and their respective responsibilities, as IIoT solutions get designed and rolled out. In this chapter, we'll delve deeper into the IIoT architect's role and cover the following topics:
- How different viewpoints impact the architecture and design of the IIoT system
- Various architectural patterns and concerns
- How the design process flows from ideation to PoC to deployment
- Security concerns for each viewpoint and their impact on the system
