Seemingly, everyone wants to be a data scientist these days and wants to put that moniker on their business card. Few are. On the other hand, many might not agree that the business should be managed based on data and analytics. How do we rationalize the variety of skills and attitudes present?

The goal of any project should be to deliver just the right amount of information to business leaders and others who might be impacted, at the right time and in the right form. Most of these people are not technical. Many do not understand statistics.
