about covering them from A to Z. In most cases, we will provide a list of
tools available at the time of this writing. e wave of big data analysis is
just beginning (really!); hence, many of the tools require some technical
knowledge in order to use them. For example, the archetype of big data
tools for statistics is the statistical language R, which is primarily com-
mand-line driven. Figure5.1 shows a plethora of tools.
MACHINE LEARNING BASICS
What is machine learning? Machine learning is the application of com-
puter soware and hardware to recogniz
