I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

RARP is used to obtain an IP address from a MAC address. Although widely used, RARP has some disadvantages. Since it is intended to operate at the hardware level, it is cumbersome to obtain and manage the routine from an applications program. It also contains limited information. Its purpose is to obtain an IP address, but not much other information is provided. It would be useful to have the reply of a message contain information about other protocols supported by the machine, such as the gateway address, server host names, etc. Due to these problems, the Internet now supports the Bootstrap Protocol, also known as BOOTP.
