I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
SUMMARY
PNNI is an ATM-based protocol. It has the ability to make routing decisions on ATM addresses, and is able to support a call request from a network user, based on that user's ATM quality of service requirements, such as high peak cell rate, and minimum cell burst size. This aspect of PNNI makes it unique among routing protocols.
PNNI is also used for signaling and defines the procedures to establish point-to-point or point-to-multipoint connections through an ATM network. The PNNI signaling operations are quite similar to many of the other protocols, because they are based on the ITU-T Q.2931 signaling specification.
Thus far, PNNI has not seen extensive use in the industry, but then ATM is still finding its way into the marketplace. Time ...
