Creating distrust
To appear as heroes and problem solvers, social engineers may plan to create a staged distrust and probably wreak some havoc so that one of them can come up and appear as the hero. The distrust can be created between a target and a company representative, a banking institution, or even insurance company. There are many avenues in a target's life where chaos can be stage-managed. When the distrust and probably chaos arises, a social engineer will step in and try to resolve the issue with the aggravator.
