When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Bracketing
This is also linked to the two preceding topics, assumptive and intelligent questions. Bracketing is used in scenarios where a social engineer wants to get precise information from a target without appearing to be directly requesting it. It is used mostly when looking for numerical information. A social engineer will ask a question followed by an approximation that is purposefully given to instigate the target to give an accurate number in his or her response. For example, a social engineer could ask an employee, Hey! Going by the badge, I assume you work at XYZ company. I hear your security is tighter than in our organization, yet we have two guarded checkpoints and biometric verification before entering the premises. The target ...
