I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Uninstalling FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint
If required, FAST Search can be removed from the farm, but it is not a simple process. To remove a FAST Server, first you have to make a deployment reconfiguration, by following these steps:
- Locate and open to edit the deployment.xml file in the FASTSearch\etc\ config_data\deployment folder on the FAST admin server.
- Remove the
hosttag for the server you want to remove from the farm. - Stop the services FAST Search for SharePoint and FAST Search for SharePoint Monitoring.
- Open Microsoft FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint shell as administrator, and run the following command to
Set-FASTSearchConfigurationto reconfigure the FAST deployment. - Start the services FAST Search for SharePoint and ...
