I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Backing Up a Site Collection
To back up a site collection using the SharePoint Central Administration tool, perform the following steps:
- Open the SharePoint Central Administration site on a SharePoint Server (Start, All Programs, Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products, SharePoint 2010 Central Administration).
- Select Backup and Restore in Quick Launch.
- Select Perform a Site Collection Backup, under the Granular Backup section.
- On the Site Collection Backup page, select a site collection to backup from the drop-down menu, as shown in Figure 10.8.
