Understanding the My Site Automatic Visual Upgrade
Unlike with standard content databases, when My Site content databases are upgraded, all visuals for SharePoint 2010 are automatically upgraded, as shown in Figure 5.15. It is subsequently doubly important to test out the upgrade process in a lab before running the upgrade in production.
