So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Column Default Value Settings
Not available in SharePoint Foundation 2010, this tool allows the library administrator to set a default value for columns in the library. This feature is covered in more detail in Chapter 22. From a list or library design standpoint, it is important to know that by using the Column Default Value Settings link from the Document Library Settings page, the administrator can set values based on folders, which can be a much more powerful and useful ability than setting default values on a column basis.
