So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding the Difference Between Forefront UAG and Forefront TMG
The first important distinction that needs to be made is the difference between the two products in the Forefront Edge line. Forefront TMG is the direct replacement for the ISA Server 2006 product, and is positioned by Microsoft as the preferred product for outbound security filtering of web and other traffic. Forefront UAG, on the other hand, is a full-function Secure Sockets Layer/virtual private network (SSL/VPN), and is positioned by Microsoft as the preferred solution for inbound security filtering of traffic destined for SharePoint and other internal published resources.
