I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Best Practices
• As a starting point for encouraging end users to use SharePoint workflows, train them on the range of capabilities of list and library alerts, and educate users about some of the unique alerts available in lists such as the calendar, issues, and tasks lists. This is a good starting place before more complex workflows are implemented.
• Before testing workflows in the organization, verify the settings outlined in this chapter in the Central Administration site, as well as for the Site Collection where they will be used, to ensure that the settings meet the organization’s needs and the appropriate workflows are enabled.
• As a general rule, don’t enable the SharePoint 2007 workflows unless they are specifically required.
