Categories pop-up button in the toolbar or the Edit→Categories submenu to choose
a category. Entourage assigns the category to the selected item for you and changes
its color accordingly.
Tip: The main window for certain kinds of Entourage information, including email messages, tasks, notes,
and the Address Book, includes a column called Categories. One of the easiest ways to apply a category to
an item is to click in this column, if it’s showing; a pop-up menu of your categories appears.
You can even place an individual Entourage item into more than one category. To
do so, click the Categories button (or press c-comma) to bring up the Assign Cat-
egories window (Figure 11-10), in which you can assign as many categories as you
want by turning on the appropriate checkboxes. For instance, a note with flight in-
formation might pertain to both the Travel and Work categories. (You can do the
same thing by choosing Edit→Categories→Assign Categories.)
Checking Your Spelling
In parts of Entourage that involve lots of text (such as notes and mail messages), you
can ask Entourage to check your spelling for you. Although Entourage can do this
on the fly by marking suspect words with a red squiggly underline, it also has a more
traditional spell checker at its disposal.
