Protecting Domain Data
This chapter covered several WebLogic Server domain configuration topics. I'll be remiss if I don't also discuss how to protect critical domain configuration data. Protecting the domain data is really simple—all you need to do is to ensure that you're frequently backing up key server configuration and security files (and directories). Without an Admin Server, you can't manage your running Managed Servers. You must, therefore, protect all critical domain configuration data so you can recover it in the event of server failures. You must periodically archive the domain configuration and save it to disk or tape.
