Managing Server Work Overload
When a long-running request or faulty application logic blocks execute threads for long periods, new requests could queue up in the server's single self-tuning execute queue. Even if the server starts catching up with the queued requests, you could see degradation in performance and you'll notice a slowdown in the response times of the applications. When a WebLogic Server instance is overloaded, as happens when the server reaches its capacity, applications won't perform properly.
