I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring Metric Collection
Server MBeans such as the ServerRuntimeMBean contain metrics that are helpful in monitoring system performance. Metrics are various simple types of attributes of the server MBeans that the Harvester component of WLDF can collect at a sampling rate that you specify. To “harvest” the metric data, you must configure the harvestable data first. When you start the WebLogic Server instance, the server instantiates all run-time MBean types and thus becomes eligible for the harvesting or collection of metrics. You can configure harvesters for collecting server metrics through the Administration Console, WLST, or JMX.
