I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The SHUTDOWN, SUSPENDING, and FAILED States
Just as the startup and resume commands let you get the server into the final RUNNING state, you can use a set of commands to shut down or suspend the server. In addition, the server could also end up in the FAILED state. Here's a brief description of these server states:
SHUTDOWN You can issue either the shutdown or the force shutdown commands to shut a server down. The server stops accepting any type of requests at this point.
