I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Non-Destructive Mask Edits
While a selection is still loaded and active—you still see “marching ants” onscreen—you can use the Refine Edge option in the Control panel to contract, expand, or even feather the selection before saving it as a static mask in an alpha channel. Photoshop CS4 adds the ability to perform such modifications to a saved mask with the options available in the new Masks panel (Window > Masks). See Figure 9.22.
