I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Live Preflight
The Preflight feature was completely revamped for CS4, and now constantly monitors the state of the document, checking it against a set of user-specified preflight rules. InDesign ships with a basic, bare-bones preflight profile, but you might want to create a more ambitious custom profile. If your print service provider or a publication gives you a custom preflight profile, use that profile to ensure that you’re meeting their requirements.
Since preflight is dynamic, you can fix problems as soon as they occur if you’ll train yourself to keep an eye on the constantly updated Preflight status in the lower-left corner of the document window (Figure 11.48).
