When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Reader Users Can Play, Too
While markup features have been available since Acrobat 3.0 (when they were called Annotations), potential collaborators had to purchase a retail copy of Acrobat to participate. But that changed when Acrobat 7.0 Professional added the ability to enable a PDF so that users of the free Reader application could create, import, and export comments and markups. Acrobat 8.0 added the option to enable Reader users to save filled-out forms (previously, form data would vaporize when a Reader user saved a filled form—very frustrating).
Since its introduction in Acrobat 7.0, the “enable for Reader” feature has changed names and menu locations, bouncing between the Documents, Comments, and Advanced menus. To enable a PDF in Acrobat ...
