Getting Smart
Neatness counts in page layout; that’s why we have ruler guides and measurement readouts to four decimal places in the Control panel. But with the Smart Guide features in InDesign CS4, you may find that you can forget creating ruler guides, but still keep your ducks (well, objects) in a row.
Smart Guides
The gray “flag” containing measurement information appears when you create a frame (Figure 11.29). At first it may seem annoying, but you quickly learn to ignore it if you don’t need its information.
