I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Saving to PDF
As always, consult your print service provider or publication for the correct specifications before you submit a PDF file. Make sure you know the version of PDF they will accept and whether they allow live transparency in a PDF, or whether it must be flattened.
If your printer or publication has provided specifications or settings, of course you should use them. But you’ll find that some printers and publications still leave it up to you—“just send us a nice PDF”—and then you’re on your own.
Choose File > Save As, and select Adobe PDF as the format. Notice that Use Artboards is checked by default, and cannot be unchecked (Figure 10.38). If you want to save all the artwork on a single page of a PDF, ignoring the boundaries of artboards, ...
