Using the Save command allows you to store the Visio document on your hard drive for later use and editing. You can also save your document in other Visio versions.
Saving Visio 2002 files in earlier versions such as Visio 5.0, allows users with the older versions to open and edit files.
Caution
Users with earlier versions of Visio will not be able to open Visio 2002 files.
Follow these steps to save your unsaved Visio document:
Choose the File menu, and Click Save.
The Save As dialog box appears and prompts you for a new filename. In Windows 95/98/Me/2000 or NT, you are allowed up to 255 characters for a filename. Type a new filename.
