So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using OLE'Automation to Embed or Link Visio Files
Object Linking and Embedding (OLE') is a Microsoft protocol to share information from one OLE'compatible application to another. OLE'can share multiple file types, whether they are images, sound files, spreadsheets, or documents.
OLE'Automation enables enormous functionality to host applications with the ability to embed and link Visio files. Embedding Visio information into a host application maintains its connection to Visio the application, but not the Visio document. Because the host application understands the Visio data interface, editing of that data can be done within the host.
