Linking Existing Visio Files with Word and PowerPoint
Linking Visio documents from within other applications such as Word or PowerPoint enables updates to occur from the source document, and automatically updates on the destination document without having to touch a key or menu command. The appropriate time to use linking is when you want to maintain a single master document to display and update in one or more other documents. Here, we use both Word and PowerPoint to demonstrate the linking technique with existing Visio documents.
