Visio provides a Web ready tool-set for creating and managing Hyperlinks to browse Visio Pages, Files, other Office Documents, and Web Sites. The theory of a hyperlink is to link from where you are currently to another place or location. Hyperlinks enable you to view information in a nonlinear way.
Tip
Visio documents can also be saved in an HTML or VML format. With this format, a common Web Browser can view Visio diagrams. I address this in the next chapter, Chapter 12, "Using Visio 20002 to Create Web Pages."
Visio uses hyperlinks to link specific shapes or pages within the same Visio document or to other Visio documents.
