Embedding Visio Shapes into Web Pages
Opening and editing the generated files in Notepad was a good start. In the next exercise enhance the resulting HTML files by adding a Visio SmartShape to it. First we need a new Visio drawing document, and a single shape saved as a .gif file. Follow this routine to create the new file.
From Visio's File menu, select New and follow through to the Network selection. Choose the Basic Network Template. This opens a new Visio drawing document.
Drag a Tower PC into the drawing page.
Select the Save As command from the File menu. The Save As dialog appears. Enter a descriptive filename, and navigate to the folder where the Web pages were saved.
