Saving and Converting Visio Shapes and Pages to Web Pages

To save a shape or drawing page as an image:

  1. From the File menu, select the Save As command.

  2. In the Save as Type drop down list box, select a .gif, .jpg, or .png file format.

Tip

The .jpg and .gif file formats are supported by both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, version 3.0 or higher. The .png format is supported by both Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher, and Netscape Navigator version 6.0 or higher. Saving as a Web page in the VML format option using page tabs and zoom capability is only supported in the Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. Alternate options are provided for usage in others browser manufacturers and browser versions.
