Adding Hyperlinks to a Visio Shape or Page

When you link a page to an external file, you are required to type or browse the filename and path into the Address text box. The Browse button allows you to navigate and find your file similar to the Open dialog method. Then you can link to the file.

You also have a description text box. The description acts as an indicator when linking over to a page, file, or Web address. And on shapes, can display a Tool Tip as you hover your mouse pointer over it.

Tip

Linking to a Web address obviously involves having an Internet connection and a functioning Web Browser.
