Creating a viable, inspiring vision and communicating it well so that

excitement and motivation spread through the organization are signi-

cant achievements and critical to success. Oen, when leadership sees the

great response to this vision, they may be tempted to ease up and turn their

attention to other priorities before real action and results are produced.

However, removing barriers is signicant, since motivation through a

compelling vision is an empty mission unless obstacles are removed in a

timely fashion to keep the troops energized, focused, and committed.
