Maker 一詞泛指樂意動手去做些什麼的
人，中國朋友們稱為「創客」，台灣則比
較喜歡用「自造者」，代表「自己製造」。
另一方面，maker 不一定非要創業不可，
且對於 maker 來說，製作的過程有時候
比結果更迷人，以及目的性無視 --- 好玩
最重要。
本書從自造者的起源開講，因為各種原
因成了一股浪潮，翻轉了人們製作東西
的思維與方式，甚至影響了教育體系。
光有想法不夠，光有熱情也不夠，maker
強調的是「做出來」，因此本書也介紹了
專案管理等各種技巧與工具，甚至 maker
不是很樂意提到的「錢」，本書也重申其
重要性。
本 書 後 半 部 使 用 了 相 當 大 的 篇 幅 來 介
紹 maker 三 神 器：3DP、 雷 射 切 割 與
Arduino。此外，對於 Raspberry Pi 以及
與 Arduino 關 係 匪 淺 的 Processing 開 發
環境也有著墨。不管您認不認同，它們
的確讓我們的生活豐富許多，也帶動了
