Set Up the Project

Make sure you have the Lesson 2 files downloaded.

Import the Asset

• Fire up a new After Effects project, either by clicking New Project from the splash screen, or with File > New Project.
• Save this project into Lesson 2 > 05_Project, naming it Lesson 2.

We’ll now import the image in the Stills folder, but with a different approach than last time.

• Drag the file called GrowYourCareer.ai from the Stills folder in the Finder or Explorer into the Project panel.

You’ll see a dialog box that asks us to select import options, but it’s asking the same thing as the Import window.

• Be sure to change Import Kind to Composition
