Although you can de ne  ll and stroke colors

from most color controls (see the sidebar “ e

Mystery of Color Controls,” later in this chapter),

the Color panel gives you the widest variety

of options for de ning  ll and stroke colors.

You can choose colors visually, by clicking a

graphic representation of a color space—all

the available colors in a given color-de nition

system; or you can choose colors numerically,

by entering speci c values for color compo-

nents. You can also set a color’s transparency
