Creating Simple Patterns

Flash CS4 introduces two tools that create patterns: the spray-brush tool and the deco tool

(Figure 2.67). By default, the spray-brush tool creates a random dot pattern. You determine

where the pattern goes by painting with the tool on the Stage.  e deco tool uses prede ned

patterns that  ll space automatically. To make the  nished spray-brush and deco patterns

easier to work with, Flash unites all the elements of the pattern in a special object called a

group. You’ll learn about groups and about using the pattern tools in Chapter 5.
