The Challenge What Experts Do
Science of Badass
We can’t just make ANYONE badass. What if
they don’t have a natural talent/ability/brain/
body for our bigger context?
One of the main reasons people don’t even try to get better
at something they’d like to do is their belief that they just
don’t have what it takes. Either they never had it or they think
they’ve passed an age threshold and now it’s too late to learn

We all have piles of personal evidence to support this: maybe
it was something we dreamed of mastering but no matter
how hard we worked, we just... didn’t. Or we know someone
for whom a specic ability emerged with seemingly little

As pervasive and intuitive this belief is, there’s just one tiny
problem: science. Evidence has been mounting for decades
that for most non-sport domains and for most people, “natural
talent” is not an absolute requirement for reaching high levels
