Cloud Foundry CLI and Apps Manager
In this chapter, we will explore the most common ways an application developer interacts with Cloud Foundry: the cf Command Line Interface (CLI) and the Apps Manager on Pivotal Web Services (PWS). We will get acquainted with the basics of pushing applications to Cloud Foundry through both the cf CLI and the Apps Manager, and how they relate to each other.
Specifically, we'll cover the following:
- Creating a PWS account
- Installing the cf CLI
- Initial setup of the cf CLI
- The cf CLI help command
- Deploying an application to Cloud Foundry
- Accessing the Apps Manager on PWS
